Byram Hills-Beacon moved

February
28

Tomorrow’s Byram Hills-Beacon Class A semifinal has been moved to 2 p.m.

Apparently, the forecast calls for snow, so they decided to move the game up. It was originally scheduled for 8:45 p.m.

Makes things a lot easier for me on deadline. I’m not so sure the Byram Hills fans will feel the same way about missing an opportunity for a prime-time game.

That’s alright, I’ll still be there.

  2. Bballfan

What about the Beacon fans we don’t want to miss it either!!This stinks we are farther away

  3. Andy

To be fair, they should move the gmaes to 2:00 p.m. with the Peekskill/Panas and so on!!!

  4. Juice 51

I agree with Andy but I guess Section 1 would rather inconvenience fans from only Armonk and Beacon instead of everyone.

  5. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY

  6. Beafan

How unfair they should have moved everyone up startng wth Peekskill and Panas. They should be starting at 2.We Beacon fans wanted to see our girls rock the county center to So now its a 7hr time difference from original time. Thats wrong!!

Actually-Byram Hills kids get an excused absence to go to the game with a note from there parents. There will be a huge crowd from BHHS fans!

  8. Been Around

    Folks,

Its not about the money. Its about the weather forcast and Beacon having to travel over an hour. The weather forcast dictated the change.

  9. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

BEEN AROUND, SO THE BEACON ATHLETIC DEPT AND ADMINSTRATION REQUESTED THIS? PLEASE WAKE UP

  10. RICHARD MCHUGHr

BEACON HAS HAD A FINE RECORD OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS. NOW IT IS ON THE BRINK OF A CHAMPIONSHIP.THE NEW QUEENS OF DUTCHESS COUNTY ARE READY. THEIR COACH,A OLL GRAD,IS READY. HOPEFULLY THE POSTINGS BY THE SPORTS TEAMS WILL BE FAST. ANYONE TRANSFERRING TO BEACON? IT IS A FINE SCHOOL DISTRICT.

Well – to answer the questions that have been rattling around in your heads about the time change. Late Thursday afternoon, the forecast was for snow to move in between 7 & 9pm on Friday evening. Since there were 4 games scheduled for Friday starting at 3:30 it waas decided that the last game would be moved so everyone could get home safe and sound. It would have been a little crazy to start moving EVERY game to different times. It was more efficent to just move one game – with the winner having an evening game over the weekend. Prime objective is EVERYONES SAFETY

Moving every team up would still have gotten every one home at same time and would have been fairer. Those that already had a afternoon time probably had already taken the day off. Not just Beacon fans how about Byram first trip to county center they want their fans there to. Guess you didnt want to deal with the Peekskill fans.

  13. HELLO

BEAFAN, U HIT THE NAIL RIGHT ON THE HEAD.PEEKSKILL IS A BIGGER DRAW WHICH MEANS MORE $$$$$$. HELLO
