Tonight on TV

March

I’ll be in Long Island tonight for the Haldane and Briarcliff games, but Varsity Central Extra will go on without me. The ever-ready Joe Lombardi will pinch hit, joining Kevin and Ben, RNN’s resident softie, for tonight’s show. I urge you to do two things tonight: 1) Keep it here for my updates on the two state regional finals, 2) Watch the show.

Here’s what we’ll have tonight:
— Kevin and Joe will handicap the chances of the teams remaining in the boys and girls fields. Which teams have a shot at taking home the big prize, a state championship?
— We’ll also look back at Championship Week. We’ll have highlights, plus an overall County Center MVP for both the boys and the girls. Any guesses as to who we chose?
— We’ll also take your phone calls at 1-888-RNN-CHAT.

If you want to tune in, it’s channel 6 or 19 in Westchester/Rockland, and Channel 20 in Putnam. I’ll also call in during the program with a live update on the Haldane game.

Enjoy…

Angelei Aguirre on the girl’s side.

Didn’t see the finals from the other classes but I did not read anyone suggest that there was another all world performance on both the offensive (her 33 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists were well documented) and defensive (the fact that she limited MV scoring machine Nadia Duncan to 12 points was not so well documented)ends in the title game.

  3. 3 MVPS

BRITTANY SHIELDS FROM HALDANE HAS WON 3 MVPS IN THE 4 YEARS.56 POINTS IN 2 GAMES AT THE CC, ALONG WITH 5 GOLD BALLS.WHO HAS THE RECORD FOR MOST MVPS? OVER 1800 POINTS 1300 REBOUNDS 2ND TEAM ALL STATE 3 YEARS IN A ROW.NOBODY ON THE GIRLS SIDE HAS A BETTER RESUME.PLAYER OF THE YEAR
