Sferra commits to Quinnipiac and other recruiting updates

There finally some news on the recruiting scene, as Ursuline senior Shelby Sferra has committed to Quinnipiac. 
The 6-foot Sferra (right) received about 15 offers, but narrowed it down to Quinnipiac and Manhattan. I hope to talk to her soon so I’ll let you know why Sferra ended up where she did.
One of the area’s other top post players may be closing in on a decision as well. Holy Child’s Sophia Aleksandravicius is headed to visit Davidson this week after visits to Holy Cross, Villanova, Boston College and Georgetown. The 6-foot-4 senior has seen about 30 schools, but appears to be very interested in Davidson.
Others:
— Lourdes’ Kim Dweck has garnered interested from a bunch of schools, and Robert Morris visited her at home in Westchester last week.
— Briarcliff’s Maggie Blair went on a visit to Manhattan but is still undecided
— Yes, she committed very early, but Albertus Magnus’ Alaina Walker hasn’t changed her mind…she’s still headed to St. Bonaventure

Great job by Shelby: She has worked hard for a long time and deserves everything she gets, I watched her from her Sophomore year grow to a determined young lady, no matter what college she picks she will be a success. She will be a big loss to Ursuline next year.
Can anyone tell me about a new kid coming in at Ursuline? Heard about her during the AAU circuit? Don’t know the name plays guard????????
