    JOSH
I WAS LOOKING FOR THE POSTELL INTERVIEW YOU DID IN JAN BUT WHEN I ACCESSED IT THERE WAS A HOCKEY INTERVIEW AND NOT LISTED “ON DEMAND”
    IS IT LOST

  4. MIke Hoops

    BucketBOy,

Thats all Section, I want to see an ALL LEAGUE LIST.

NOt who made all Section from what leagues.

    Who made all league

  5. Enforcer

It appears that the Valhalla Coach is still having trouble explaining what appears to be the phony statistics he posted on Max Preps. To date, and after having been instructed to remove them, he still can’t explain where they came from nor can he produce any supporting documentation for them. Sad. Stay tuned.

  6. All League

    Enforcer,

    What are you talking about?

  7. Enforcer

Apparently the Valhalla Coach posted statistics game by game on lohud all year long. Then, just before the All League/All Section meeting he posted a completely different set of statistics on Max Preps. This second set of statistics were called into question when it became obvious that they were fraudulant. Upon questioning he was unable to explain where these different statistics came from. The AD then instructed him to remove them, but this was after the All League/All Section selections had been made. Makes ya wonder doesn’t it?????

  8. Fan AA

    Who picks the all-state teams

  9. Josh Thomson

Fan AA…The New York State Sportswriters Association.

All league…I don’t have all-league selections but will try to secure them.

BUCKETBOY…There appears to have been a problem with the Postell interview. I can’t find it either.

  10. All League

Thats why HS Stats are meaningless beyond Points.

    Shots attempted are NEVER right.

You hear a girl went 10-13, yet you saw her miss 7 shots. HMMMMMMM

You hear 17 Rebounds, yet you know it was like 10.

You see 25 Turnovers, but “STATS” say 9.

  11. Fan AA

Josh do you have a vote

  12. Fan AA

All League I agree with you on that one.

  13. Josh Thomson

Fan AA… I do not vote, but I do offer my input, as do other writers, coaches and officials throughout the state. Hopefully, it helped Section 1 get a little more love this year.

  14. wondering

Also, who choses the All Academic team? Why isn’t is limited to those who made All Section or All Section Honorable Mention. I also gotta wonder about the selections committee when you know the GPA’s of those who received it versus those who didn’t…

  15. Josh Thomson

A committee of coaches/Section 1 officials picks both the all-academic and the Costa Award.

  16. bball fan

I would also like to see who made all league. I know it ran in the paper/blogs for soccer. Thanks, Josh, for trying to get those selections.

  17. ALL LEAGUE

    JOSH,

wHERE IS KELLENBERGH RANKED IN FINAL POLL? I DONT SEE THEM LISTED IN RANKINGS

  18. Enforcer

All League….you could not be more right! How does anyone condone a teacher manipulating the statistics to acheive a personal adjenda. In turn he disregarded the fallout for other innocent girls. This guys job and character should be called into question.

  19. Call a lawyer

It looks like the only “personal agenda” taking place here is a digruntled parent having a conversation with itself in the guise of blog posts here. Anyone that has every been within 100 feet of a high school basketball game knows that student volunteers keep the book, young kids. I mean please, go back to your Sabremetric website and stir up some trouble. I hope this coach gets on to what you are doing here and sues your wise ass for defamation.

  20. FYI

Enforcer…no one really gives a rats ass as to what the Valhalla coach did or didn’t do with some hypothetical stats on max preps or any other place for that matter. High school stats are meaningless (including PPG) since most averages are inflated at the expense of the weaker teams…Stop it already with this “defamation of character” ranting on a public blog… “Call a lawyer is right” ..I hope you get sued for this unethical behavior…..obviously, you are the only one that really cares about this nonsense because you keep bringing it up. Get a life!

Hey Josh…..you really should monitor the comments that you allow to get posted here on your blog. It appears to the casual observer that it’s easy to use this forum as a platform to destroy someone’s reputation without any ramifications to the perp.

  21. !@#$%

Yeah, let’s sue everybody! That’s the American way, right! PLEASE!!!!!

  22. Friend of Enforcer

Wow!!! It has been our experience that when someone gets too close to the truth guilty people become very sensitive and defensive. C.A.L.-you apparently are a friend/relative of the coach, or the parents of the child who benefitted from the fake statistics he made up. You also missed the point when you said student volunteers keep the book. These were not the stats kept in the official book by a student but turn overs, steals, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, etc. Now he can not identify how he came to have these additional statistics, that is why in the end they had to be removed. As for F.Y.I. isn’t it typical of someone like you to blame the whistle blower while ignoring the offender. You want to attack the person who shed the light on the indefensible behavior of someone who can not even provide an explanation for why or how he came to possess these numbers. Unfortunately blogs like this have to be fair and even allow fools like you an open forum to share opinions that make no sense. Next time you blog talk about something you know.

  23. CAL

‘Friend’ and ‘Enforcer’ are likely the same disgruntled parent. I have no dog in this ‘fight’. You are trashing a man (I happen not to know) with no evidence and are in the wrong to do that. What a sad sack you are.

  24. Enforcer

First of all stupid all anyone has to do is check the IPO’s to see that these blogs are not from the same user.
Secondly, after reading everything posted here you make an assine statement like, “with no evidence”. Apparently no amount of evidence would convince you that a wrong was committed here…tough guy. But please blog back we really look forward to reading your drivel.

  25. Enforcer

Hey CAL…haven’t heard from you in a while. Is everything ok sweetie???
